When one fiancé retains an external attorney, it changes both the user experience and the workflow on the attorneys' end.
Specifically, neither attorney will have access to the Editor to revise the document. Both attorneys will need to revise the document via traditional methods (i.e. Word document) and correspond with their respective clients regarding these edits via email or telephone. You will also have to correspond with the opposing counsel via email or telephone as you will not be able to communicate with each other through our platform.
Once the document is finalized, then you and the opposing counsel will have to sign the agreement via traditional methods. Then, both attorneys will need to provide their respective clients with a PDF copy of the attorney-signed agreement. The clients will then need to upload the signed PDF agreement to the platform if they wish to sign and notarize it through Proof.
