Nice work! You and your partner have downloaded your prenuptial agreement on HelloPrenup! 🎊
We have put together this handy checklist to walk you through getting your document signed and safely secured! 🖋️
Next Steps after Generating your Prenup:
INSPECT: Review your prenup carefully. This is very important! Questions? Unsure about any of the provisions? Bring this document to an attorney for advice or edits before you sign.
ATTORNEY SERVICES: Decide if you need or want to elicit help from an attorney through our platform. You can find attorneys in your state here.
If one party decides not to hire legal counsel, they can indicate this in the Waivers section of the HelloPrenup Questionnaire. This step ensures compliance and formalizes decisions before proceeding to signing.
PRINT: Print at least three (3) original copies.
SIGN: Sign your document in the presence of a notary. We offer seamless e-sign directly through our platform.
States that E-sign is not valid in, those users must print and sign the finalized agreement in person before completing notarization with a licensed notary public, as e-signing prenups is not permitted by state law.
INITIAL: Initial each page.
KEEP IT SAFE: It is always recommended that each spouse keeps an original, signed Agreement in a safe place. Keep your 3rd physical copy of your completed prenup in a secure place like a safety deposit box.
If technical issues arise, such as access to the Questionnaire being blocked, users can contact HelloPrenup's support team for potential backend resolutions to move the process forward.
